PROTOTYPICAL Specification Consultant

A Prototypical Specification Consultant focuses on building and maintaining the foundation from which all project-specific Specifications are derived. 

At TechSpecs Consulting Inc., this work is preformed with over 15 years of experience supporting national accounts across North America, spanning multiple building sectors and delivery models. Our role is not limited to writing Sections, but to understanding how Specification systems perform when applied repeatedly across the country, on diverse portfolios.

Our experience includes the complete analysis, organization, and long-term management of Prototypical Master Specification Sections. This involves reviewing existing Specification content to identify gaps and inconsistencies. Once complete, editing and creating Sections to reflect client-specific standards, performance expectations, and contractual requirements follows. Each Master Section is structured to remain adaptable, containing educational SPEC NOTES, allowing these Sections to serve as a reliable resource for future projects without sacrificing clarity, content or control.

This level of prototypical work supports consistency across projects while reducing risk during Procurement and construction. By aligning Specification content with contractual documentation and real-world application, TechSpecs Consulting Inc. helps clients establish Specification systems that scale effectively, remain current, and perform as intended over time.
